Fish Story

Ms. Kristen Beach's 2nd grade class welcomed Mr. Ron (Svoboda), retired DNR officer in to dissect a Lake Trout (donated by Cross Fisheries). "Mr. Ron" was able to show the students much of what they have learned about fish, including many internal organs. The students also got a "mini" DNR lesson about what to look for in Lake Michigan fishes to know if they were planted or were born "naturally." Students also got to touch and untangle a real gill net. It was a great time and Mr. Ron was a huge hit!
